I’m a young entrepreneur seeking some helpful insight from ecommerce storeowners. As touched upon in the title, I’d like to know how you regard SEO as a traffic source or if it’s viable at all.
I don’t claim to know everything, but it seems to me the rolling trend is to arbitrage paid ads through channels like social and search. Assuming your margin exceeds your cost in ad spend per unit, you have a scalable model. Please excuse my basic explanation, just wanted to keep everyone on the same page.
With this in mind, i’d like to know if there are ecommerce entrepreneurs who have seen or experienced success with SEO.
I realize the technicalities of optimizing a website may shy away some people away (keyword research, meta descriptions, alt text, internal linking structure, etc).
I would love to hear what you all think and contribute to this. Please feel free to correct anything I’ve said and help me learn.

And, taking a survey is not validation. It’s research. It’s important to recognize the difference.
Surveys do not require the person to really weigh the risk vs reward of their decision. You are asking them to deal with a hypothetical.
Until you put them into a real situation that requires them to commit to their decision you aren’t validating much of anything.
Surveys are great research tools. Do plenty of research. Just be careful to not conclude that you have proven your assumptions as the result of tests conducted within hypothetical situations.
